What's on the Bike?

To be quite honest where do you actually start when getting equipment to prepare for a journey like this? I have taken many ideas from other cycle tourers that have completed similar journeys and here is the format i have decided on. Lets hope i havent forgotten anything!

Pannier One - Self Maintenance Pannier

 

Even though personal documents are pictured here. I have two copies of everything in 2 seperate panniers and originals and valuables like bank car and passport i keep in a Handlebar bag.

Pannier Two - Clothes

Two of everything basically so one can be dirty/drying whilst other is being worn. The first two panniers are my lightest so they are positioned ont he front wheels.

Pannier Three - Camping/Electronic Equipment

My favourite pannier that probably gets used the most as i am constantly moving my solar panel in and out of the bag depending on the weather. Make sure most commonly used goods are at the top obviously like stove, mess tin and fuel.

Pannier Four - Bike Maintenance

Hopefully i will very rarely be jumping into this one but important nevertheless. In the blue bag are essentials such as mulitool, lighter, batteries, tube patches, zip ties and any bit or bob i may pick up off the road that could come in handy later.

Finally, bungee corded to the back...

So there's the set up. Hopefully i have everything i need but if i don't, i'll let you know
